Baby girl starting walking. Well wobbling around. It’s pretty cool to see her go from crawling on one leg, she does this half sitting half walk thing, to full confidence in holding toys while walking. Truly exciting and I hope you experience the same excitement.
Allow me to give you a full idea of the emotion.
I’ve never been one to sit and watch sports. While I appreciate fans it just isn’t my cup of tea at the moment. BUT seeing my daughter figure out how to walk more confidently… priceless and had me screaming, cheering and clapping like never before. I’ve now become a fan.
As I watched my daughter take her first steps, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion. She had been working towards this moment for weeks, steadily building her strength and balance as she crawled around on one leg. And then, all of a sudden, she was up on two feet and taking tentative steps forward.
I was in disbelief as I watched her walk with such confidence, holding onto a Blackberry phone for balance. I couldn't believe how fast she had progressed from the half sitting, half walking position she had been in just a few days before. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering and clapping alongside the wife as she took more and more steps.
There were definitely some funny moments along the way. At one point, she tripped and fell, landing on her bottom with a thud. But she just giggled, clapped and stood back up, ready to try again.
As a parent, seeing my child reach this milestone was truly special. It's a moment that I'll always remember, and one that I'm grateful to have been able to witness and share with others.
One last thing… Please don’t be the person when sports talk comes up you say I played at a “High Level”, always hated when people say that then say they played Varsity in HS. Foolishness!
